We have indicated the most popular option we offer in MA in the list of health insurance carriers and health sharing organizations that we represent below. Easily compare plans and rates when you run a health insurance instant quote or a healthshare instant quote.

In Massachusetts there is a mandate requiring residents to carry qualified health insurance. If you are not exempt from this requirement and do not have health insurance, you will be required to pay a penalty of 2.5% of your income, and no less than $695 per person and an additional $347.50.

We believe that people should be free to make their own decisions about their healthcare. Fortunately, members of qualified health care sharing plans are exempt from this mandate. The health sharing plans in Massachusetts that we recommend include Altrua Healthshare, Medi-share, Mpowering Benefits, and Sedera.

If you have any questions or would like free personal assistance in choosing a plan and getting enrolled, reach out directly to one of our Personal Benefits Managers that handles Massachusetts.

Altrua Healthshare

Altrua is notable for its popular RUBY plan tier. It offers extremely low monthly costs, though it also provides limited benefits. For example, their cheapest plan caps sharing benefits at $150,000 per year.

Altrua Ruby is a particularly good match for older health share members because, unlike most plans, it does not base pricing on age.

As a faith-based health share ministry, Altrua keeps monthly contributions low. It also offers strong protection from major medical expenses.
