More About Me

I was only 26 when I took over my family’s retail furniture business. My father, a WWII vet with the U.S. Navy, built the company from the ground up. His success is what allowed me to become the first member of my family to graduate from college. Returning to the family business was my way of honoring my father’s determination and humility.

After 31 years, the time came to make some changes. I rebranded the store as an antique mall with over 80 vendors, and within short order, I received an offer for the company that I couldn’t turn down. It was the end of a multi-generational business journey, but I know that my father would have been proud.

After that, I knew that if I wanted to keep going, I would need to reinvent myself. I was approached by a friend about switching from retail to insurance, so I decided to give it a try. And I was hooked! It wasn’t long before I was running my own agency.

What I loved about the insurance biz, even from the beginning, was the opportunities it provided to interact with people. I get to spend time with real-life people and help them find a healthcare solution that can truly change their life. It gives me a level of satisfaction that you just can’t buy.

Why I Joined HSA for America

There’s a lot to be said for running your own company. But as a Personal Benefits Manager with HSA for America, I get to spend even more one-on-one time with my clients, which is the reason why I got into this business in the first place.

I also get to be a part of a real team of experts, who don’t hesitate to help each other out if it means finding a better deal for our clients. I have more resources than ever before to help my clients find the insurance plan that’s right for them. Sometimes that means finding the lowest premium possible, and for others, it means choosing a plan with the right balance of coverage.

Then I’ll do everything in my power to get it for you.  I’ll never pitch you on something you don’t need. My father never would have done that in the furniture store.
