Humana Dental Plans
Humana is popular with consumers because it offers comprehensive coverage, a large provider network, and rates that are reasonable. We recommend dental insurance, and we offer Humana as a solid option.
However, it’s important to read your state rate sheet to see what Humana offers in your area. An enrollment fee is required.
HumanaOne Dental Plans
Humana offers four separate HumanaOne dental plans: the Dental Preventive Plus plan, the Dental Value Plan, the Loyalty Plus plan, and the Dental Savings Plus plan. All these plans free you from the inconvenience of the underwriting process, and remove all worry about pre-existing conditions.
HumanaOne Dental Preventive Plus
With the Preventive Plus plan, you’ll have 130,000 dentists in Humana’s PPO network to choose from. There is no copayment for routine office visits, and most preventive services are covered before your annual deductible. After you meet your deductible, basic and major services are covered at a substantial discount.
This plan does have a maximum per person per year. It is important to contact Humana for pre-authorization prior to any procedure. In addition, a six-month waiting period applies before receiving basic services.
HumanaOne Dental Value (Prepaid) Plan
This plan focuses on preventive care and maintaining your dental health. Choose your primary care dentist when you apply, and see that provider as often as you need to. There are no maximums, no deductibles, and no waiting for coverage. Most diagnostic and preventative services will not cost you anything.
The Dental Value plan can save you money on common services performed by your primary care dentist, including regular office visits, exams, X-rays, fillings and extractions. See the Dental Value Plan rate sheet for details.
Note: Residents of the states of Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas are eligible for a slightly different version of the Dental Value Plan. If you live in one of these states and want more information, please read the rate sheet of this HumanaOne Dental Value Plan.

Loyalty Plus
This plan rewards you for loyalty by increasing your coverage the longer you remain with the plan. There is a one-time deductible for basic and more complicated procedures. Simple Choice

HumanaOne Dental
Savings Plus
This plan is for our clients who do not need extensive dental coverage. Also known as the Dental Discount plan, this plan is not insurance. Instead, it provides discounts on most dental services from in-network providers without the hassle of a deductible. Simply pay at the time of service at a discounted rate.
