Health Sharing members do not pay deductibles. Instead, members are responsible for an Annual Household Portion (AHP). Similar to a deductible, the AHP is the amount that must be covered before additional costs will be eligible for sharing. Your AHP will depend on the plan options you choose, but range from as low as $1,000 to as high as $10,500.
The cost for your monthly plan in Medi-Share will depend on several factors. These include your age, location, and number of people that you are enrolling. In most cases, Medi-Share plans are about half the cost of unsubsidized health insurance.

Medi-Share is not health insurance at all, but rather a form of medical cost sharing. However, Medi-Share is a Christian ministry that is devoted to the idea of sharing one another's burden. All members will be asked to complete a non-denominational Statement of Faith, and agree to some healthy lifestyle commitments.
All Medi-Share plans come with an Annual Household Portion, or AHP. This is similar to health insurance deductible, in that it's the amount that the member must pay before cost-sharing kicks in.
Medi-Share offers programs with different AHPs, and members can change their AHP at any time for a small fee.
Here's how Medi-Share work when I need care?
3. The rest of your bill will then be sent to MediShare. They will then work to discount the bill as much as possible. If your Annual Household Portion (AHP) has been met, MediShare will take care of the rest of the bill. If your AHP has not been met, then you will must pay the provider that amount before cost sharing is approved.
Medi-Share members only need to pay the provider fee, whether it's for a visit to a doctor's office ($35) or an emergency room ($200). The remaining bill is then sent to Medi-Share where they work to discount the price. If the cost is approved and you've met your AHP, they'll take care of the rest of the bill.
All Medi-Share members have access to health incentive, which can reduce your monthly share amount by as much as 20%. To qualify, members must meet certain health requirements. These include maintaining a blood pressure of 121/81 or less, a BMI of 17.5 -25, and more. To keep getting the discount members must meet these health standards on an annual basis.
