Michigan-based Priority Health offers various tools to ensure you are meeting your health care goals. They offer more than 27,000 doctors and health care professionals in their network, and currently serve more than 600,000 members under their plans. They boast a 20+ year history and have a variety of health plans to choose from for both individuals and families.
Priority Health Plan Highlights
In 2012, Priority Health earned Excellent accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance, which is the highest level a health plan can earn. They have won numerous other awards and honors since being established in 1986. Priority Health believes in a strong relationship with primary care practices. They are passionate about their Priority Health award programs, in which they annually award practices for excellent patient care.
Priority HMO
Includes the Priority Health HMO Network. Specialist referrals not required. National coverage for emergency and urgent care. Members must choose their own Primary Care Physician (PCP).
Priority POS
No specialist referral required. Includes Priority Health HMO or PPO Network. National coverage for urgent and emergency care. Deductibles and co-insurance optional depending on plan at the Preferred Benefits level. Also at this level, members must choose their own Primary Care Physician (PCP).
Priority PPO
No specialist referral required. No requirement regarding choosing a Primary Care Physician or whether another PCP coordinates care. At the Network Benefits level, deductibles and co-insurance are optional.
MIChild
This health plan is only $10 per month – even if you have more than one child. The MIChild plan includes dental care, prescription drugs, emergency care, shots, regular checkups and hospital care, among others. This is a great option for uninsured children in Michigan.
ThinkHealth
ThinkHealth is an online, interactive magazine launched to be a resource for education on health insurance, information on the latest trends in health care, as well as healthy lifestyle tips. ThinkHealth offers several ideas for improving health and fitness and how to get top-notch care from your doctor, among others.
